Singles - The Smiths

I am reviewing the greatest hits album Singles by The Smiths which is one of the best albums I have ever heard. Their music is alternative music & they were very popular in the 80's in Britain. Morissey their lead singer writes pessimistic lyrics with lashings of black humour. The best track on this album is Sheila Take A Bow which was a top 10 single in Britain although my favourite track ever by Morissey is Suedehead. A friend told me Morissey suffers with depression which probably accounts for his lyrics. He had a successful solo career and moved to Los Angeles and was apparently popular with the Latin Community. Johnny Marr who cowrote many of The Smiths later joined the supergroup Electronics which included both Pet Shop Boys and other celebrities.
