Destination Anywhere - Jon Bon Jovi
The album I am reviewing is Destination Anywhere by Jon Bonjovi which is an excellent album. This is my favourite album either by him or his group Bon Jovi. Probably their most famous album is Slippery When Wet and I would say their best single is This Ain't No Love Song. The best track on this album is Cold, Cold Heart and probably the most succesful single at least in Britain was Midnight In Chelsea and he was living in Chelsea, London at the time he wrote it. Bon Jovi were formed in 1983 and were huge in the late 80's. Jon had a acting role in the wartime drama U571 among other roles. This album came out in 1997 and there was a short promotional film made to promote the album. He has only done one other solo album which was the soundtrack to Young Guns 2: Blaze Of Glory. Emilio Estevez wanted to use the track Wanted Dead Or Alive for the film and instead ended up with a completely new soundtrack which also featured the single Blaze Of Glory. Jon is a major shareholder in the sports team Philadelphia Soul. He has done a lot of charity work is a well known roman catholic and supporter of the Democrat Party. He did a concert to raise money to help Hilary Clinton with her primary campaign debt. He also did a concert to help promote Democrat Presidential Candidate John Kerry. He is also a distant relative of Frank Sinatra. I did look at the Wikipedia article on Jon which I recommend.
