Home - Kian Egan

I am reviewing the album Home by Kian Egan which is a very good album. Kian is from Sligo in Ireland and was a member of pop boyband Westlife but now has gone solo. With this album he has gone more for a kind of folky sound. The title track Home is a cover version and was also his first single release from the album. He has been a judge on The Voice Of Ireland and there was controversy when the contestant he threw his lot in with was in the final but from Northern Ireland but the downloads which counted as votes were only being counted in the Republic Of Ireland which put them at a disadvantage. He was also the host on a revamped Surprise Surprise. He has also starred in a surfing programme due to be screened on Sky TV. He is married to the pop star Jodi Alpert and they have fairly recently had a baby. He is also famous for winning I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2013. He opted not to be a presenter at the World Cup after Thierry Henry put Ireland out of the World Cup for France with a hand ball that resulted in a goal but shouldn't have. I did look at the Wikipedia article on Kian which is worth a visit. In Britain Westlife had more number one's than any artists apart from Elvis Presley & The Beatles.
