The book I read to research this post was Social CRM For Dummies by Kyle Lacy et al which is an excellent book which I read on the website

There is a lot of information in this book which is aimed at people who are looking to promote a business on social media and integrate a CRM package with it. Most businesses will be looking to promote on facebook and twitter the 2 biggest social media sites but sometimes niche sites like frquent flyer if you are travel oriented can generate a lot of business. A CRM package which is one of the ones they mention is a little known one called Address Two which is easy to use and priced at $10-15 a month. There is also an open source free CRM called SugarCRM which might be worth checking out. Salesforce is also pretty good in that it's a whole suite of products that all integrate although it costs a bit than those 2. You may come across what they call superfans who over support your product and in extreme cases may make false claims for your product as they get carried away and can cause a bit of trouble. You should try and treat your fans equally and not be condescending to them. There is a lot more information in this book and I have barely scratched the surface. I really enjoyed reading it and it's definitely one of the better For Dummies books.
