Social Media Marketing For Business

The book I read to research this post was 10 Best Social Media Sites For Marketing Your Business by Michael Wiechart which is a very good book. This book is about promoting your business on social media and picks the 10 best although some of the sites are probably not that big and some like Foursquare & YouTube aren't social networks. It does give you the Alexa Ranking of each site and tells you how to set up an account along with general information on each site. Facebook with 1.2 billion members is the biggest social network and of course Twitter is second. Twitter though is a  micro blogging site. There are some sites I have never heard of namel RebelMouse & Keek. RebelMouse is a rapidly growing social network and much of your is automatically updated from other social media sites and blogs etc saving you the hassle of logging in every day. Keek is a bit like YouTube where you upload videos but the idea is you post video updates on your page instead of writing. I am tempted to join RebelMouse although most of the sites in the book I am already a member of. I think this book is of most use to people starting out with trying to market a small business or of course themselves. I enjoyed reading it and although a free ebook on kindle it is something a bit different.
